| Video Discription | Update: K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen to close permanently it was sadly announced on 7/13/20. K Pauls is a great Cajun restaurant and K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen has lead the way in spreading Cajun food around the world. My friends visiting during Carnival time right before Mardi Gras day wanted to have a nice dinner at K Pauls Louisiana Kitchen. K-Paul's is a fantastic Cajun restaurant with some Creole influences. Chef Paul was a HUGE influence in making "Cajun" food mainstream in the USA and the world. The Paul Prudhomme blackened redfish took both New Orleans and the world by storm and kicked off the blackened everything craze along with the Cajun food insanity all over the world with both good and bad results with the real Cajun food being spread around the world along with fake Cajun dishes, recipes and restaurants spreading all over the place as well. Many restaurants use the term "Cajun" and "blackened" for pure marketing purposes for dishes that have NOTHING connected to Louisiana along with confusing the Cajun food of of the Acadiana region with the traditional Creole food of New Orleans. Paul Prudhomme certainly was one of the first to begin to bring Cajun influences into New Orleans Creole food and mix Creole influences in with Cajun food. Chef Paul's impact is still felt even though we lost him back in 2015 and his K-Paul's Kitchen is still slinging his fantastic food. We also make a quick stop in SoBou to sample some of their drinks and experience their... "interesting" decor.
