The Lexus IS 300h is a rear wheel drive motor car, with its powerplant positioned in the front, and a 4 door saloon (sedan) bodyshell. Power is produced by a double overhead camshaft, 2.5 litre naturally aspirated 4 cylinder powerplant, with 4 valves per cylinder that provides power and torque figures of 179 bhp (181 PS/133 kW) at 6000 rpm and 221 N·m (163 lb·ft/22.5 kgm) at 4200-5400 rpm respectively. This power is delivered to the wheels through a continuously variable gearbox. Its stated kerb weight is 1620 kg.
