It's a 10-day festival called Dussera, and even though it's celebrated around India - no region is more intense than Tamil Nadu. It's hard to comprehend what I just experienced - people having exorcisms and going into an unconscious state of trance. And the craziest part? I was the ONLY non-Indian at this festival of 100,000 + people, and this event has hardly been documented - by anyone!
