"I have big respect for him but when it's not working, it's very difficult for ourselves" said the 23-year-old. Bielsa was sacked by the club in February 2022 after four years at Elland Road where he secured promotion to the Premier League after a 16-year absence. Now led by Javi Garcia, Meslier said the side now have "hope" and are "so happy with him" in the dugouts. Leeds are currently 14th in the top flight, just a point off the drop zone but after a 4-2 win against Wolves recently they have confidence they can avoid relegation.
