6. SOUNDBITE (English) Jonathan Young, Clicks co-founder:
“So, the company was established about a year ago. Our first prototype was done in July, and now we’re in January and we’re launching our first product, so it’s moved pretty quickly.”

9. SOUNDBITE (English) Johnathan Young, Clicks co-founder:
“Our background’s in technology: Working for Apple, working for BlackBerry, and actually wanting to build a product for creators and a new generation of people that have never used a keyboard on a device. The keyboard has been designed around the Apple keyboard, not a BlackBerry keyboard. We’re launching in two colors. We have the Bumblebee, which is the yellow and black, and because we’re a British company, our grey one is called London Skies. If you’ve ever been to London, it’s usually not very sunny, so we have a grey color. We’ve also got some other colors on display here of some collaborations that we could do, but we’re going to focus on iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, and also the 15 Pro Max.”

11. Young showing product UPSOUND (English) Jonathan Young, Clicks co-founder: “Now, obviously it doesn’t come with an iPhone in it. This is to give you, you know. So, we didn’t want to have a box you lift out. We wanted to make this sensation, you know, of two keyboards.”

13. SOUNDBITE (English) Jonathan Young, Clicks co-founder:
“We’ve probably got three core audiences. We’ve got people that have dexterity or accessibility issues and want something that they can, you know, tangible something that they can feel and the sensation of actually typing on the keyboard. We’ve got a creative community. So, the younger generation that want to stand out from the crowd. They want to have something that looks different from everybody else. And also there is a lot of people that have been using keyboard devices previously and want to hark back to using a keyboard now on an iPhone.”

SOUNDBITE (English) Jonathan Young, Clicks co-founder:
“Well, we had expectations for CES, let’s just say they’ve been blown apart because it’s been absolutely fantastic. So, we’ve been here since Saturday. We have, it feels like I’ve been here for 2 or 3 weeks already because, you know, it’s been received incredibly well. We’re very delighted with the response. It just means we’ve got a great deal more work to do. So, but yeah, we’re very, very pleased with how it’s been received. And at the end of the day, it is a smart accessory, not a smartphone that we’re launching. So, we’ve been delighted with the response so far, very delighted.”
