Some folks tell me that they don't bother to think about their lives or their goals. They simply haven't taken time to dream about what their life could look like because they feel like they don't have any control over their life - they simply let it go to chance. Some folks say that they are too busy to consider setting goals. Here I offer you for 4 easy steps for goal setting: 1. Acknowledge that you are in control of designing your life. You are the architect of your life - no one else. 2. Create a vision for your life. List the major areas in your life (relationships, career, health, money, etc.) and write down what those areas of your life will look like in one year, 5 years and 20 years. An alternative to writing down the vision is creating a vision board. 3. Meditate on the vision of your life each day -- either through a formal meditation process or using a vision board. 4. Get a coach to help guide you through the process of setting your goals and hold you accountable in terms of meeting those goals as you become more and more successful in your life. |
