| Video Discription | Thiruvathirai Kali is a traditional sweet dish prepared during Thiruvathirai star in Margazhi Tamil month, hence the name. This is offered as a prasad to Lord Shiva and it is a age old recipe passed over generations and hence the proportions and the ingredients when followed properly will come out well. This is usually prepared along with the Thiruvathirak Kootu. This dish has a unique taste and texture and a must try dish. Ingredients: 1 big cup of raw rice - Soaked and dried in muslin cloth a day before. 1 Cup raw rice & 1/4 cup yellow moong dal - Dry roasted until golden brown color, 1 1/2 cup Jaggery powder, Ghee, Cardamom powder, 1/2 coconut grated, Cashew nuts. |
