Making a Ganesh Murti is very easy if you follow these steps. With little help from elders, Kids enjoy making a Ganesha Idol. So let's get ready with your homemade Ganpati Bappa. Material Needed to Make Ganpati 1) Toothpick 2) 2-3 ice cream stick 3) Water to make a slurry (1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup clay mixed) 4) 1 cup water 5) Terracotta Clay (Natural Clay) 6) Paintbrush & tray Steps to Follow: Step 1: Making the Stomach: Collect all the items needed to make the clay Ganesha Step 2: Fixing Head to the Body: Take a small fist-sized amount of terracotta clay and make a medium-sized ball Step 3: Making the Legs: Flat the base of the ball and place it on the table. Smoothen the ball first before doing it Step 4: Making of Hands: Take another portion of clay and make a smaller ball. Use a toothpick to roughen the corners of the ball and place it on the bigger ball Step 5: Fixing Legs: take two small portions of the clay and roll them into thin strips as shown in the video. Attach the strips as legs of the idol Step 6: Fixing Hands: Make two more thin strips and attach them as hands Step 7: Fixing Ears: Take a bit of clay, make two halves and attach them as ears on the Ganesha Step 8: Fixing Trunk: Take a bit of clay and roll it in shape of a trunk and attach them to the head Step 9: Take 4 small clay bas and make the feet and hands of Ganesha. Use toothpick to make the fingers of hand and feet. Attach them to the hand and legs Step 10: make three small balls and place on top of the head as a crown Step 11: Finally, finish by drawing eyes and tilak with a toothpick After drying in the shade for 2 to 3 days, your eco-friendly Ganpati Bappa is ready.
