| Video Discription | Dry fruit bobbatlu Recipe: 2 cups Maida/All purpose flour 2 tbsp Semolina/sooji ¼ tsp Salt 3 tbsp Oil Water as required 4 tbsp Ghee Sweet filling/ Poornam: 1 cup Chana dal 1 ½ cups Jaggery 2 tsp Sugar 2 cups water ½ cup mixed nuts 2 cardamom pods Method: In a bowl, add maida, semolina, salt, oil, mix together. Add water as required and make a soft dough. Apply oil to the dough, cover with a plastic wrap and rest for 30 mins. Poornam filling: In a pressure cooked, add washed chana dal, water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles. In a pan, saute mixed nuts, cool and blend into powder. Open cooker once steam releases. Mash dal, add dry fruits mixture, jaggery, cardamom powder and mix well. Cook until it becomes slightly thick. Let it cool down. Grease hands with ghee and make balls. Keep aside. Bobattu: Take dough knead few times. Make few balls from dough. Flatten dough, place sweet filling/poornam ball in middle, cover it with dough. Flatten it again to form a thin bobattu. Heat tawa, carefully place prepared bobattu and cook till few brown spots appear. Add ghee and flip sides and cook on both sides. Serve hot. Enjoy dry fruit bobbatlu. |
