| Video Discription | It is said that women are more ****e to mood disorders than men probably because of the hormonal changes that women continuously experience through their life span. This can start as early as pre puberty into your adolescence, adulthood and even into late adulthood. So women are known to be scientifically and biologically more ****e to mood disorders. This could start as premenstrual syndrome which is very common but not recognised in many women as they feel they do not link the onset of mood swings to the menstrual period. However it is best to keep a diary in which you record how you feel on a day-to-day basis and if you find that your mood swings peaks just before or during the monthly period it is very likely or suffering from pms or premenstrual syndrome for which treatment is desirable. The second part is we can also suffer from hormonal disorders. This can continue throughout the adult life and resulting in severe distress to the lady as well as people around. During menopause again it has been found that mood swings are very common and the person may be irritable or sad or burst into tears at one moment and other moment maybe exactly the opposite. Then you have post menopausal symptoms also. So in effect these mood swings can continue throughout one's life span and one needs to take stock of what has to be done to combat these symptoms. So I would say that you can also check out certain medical conditions such as hypothyroidism, any metabolic or any hormonal disorders or disturbances that can result in mood swings. Depression which is very common in women that can result in mood swings anxiety symptoms all these can result in mood swings. So psychologically one has to keep oneself fit and alert not giving to negative moods or negative thinking. Be positive and even if you are going through mood swings acknowledge it take stock of what you can do, keep away from people whom you may hurt when you are in this state and at the same thing when you recover you can tell your near and dear ones also how you feel. So they also understand that these are mood swings and they will also help you to deal with it. So best of luck. |
