The final image is made up of 20 separate photographs which I blended together in Adobe Photoshop. The rain made this portrait shoot very difficult but it was also a lot of fun! Backlight the rain with speedlights can give beautiful effects so embrace the bad weather and see what creative results you can achieve! Each of the photographs which make up the final composite portrait were taken on my Sony A9 camera on a tripod with my Sony 35mm 1.8 lens. I lit Demi (the model) with two speedlights, one behind her to light up the rain drops and the other in a MagMod MagBox Pro 24 to light her from the front. The MagBox gives beautiful soft light. A huge thank you to Demi for modelling (you can follow her here: https://www.instagram.com/demihughes1x/) and for being so amazing on this shoot - the conditions made this shoot very hard, the rain was torrential at times but Demi never complained once!
