| Video Discription | Female to male transgender surgery, Case 2 In this video, different from my previous similar video, you can watch penis reconstruction from this video, which is the most important part of the female-to-male sex change surgery, I performed this surgery on thin patient. I also added the glans penis reconstruction and penis cylinder thinning surgery which were performed by me on other patient. Furthermore I showed next sessions of the surgery. At the end of the video, you will be able to see another patient's late result. Following the patient's mastectomy (removal of the breasts) vaginectomy and bilateral salpingouroectomy (removal of the ovary and uterus), penile reconstruction is applied to the patient. The method I chose is to perform this surgery with the Latissimus dorsi flap, which is one of the biggest muscles of the back and even the body. It is an advantage that the post-operative scar of this area remains on the back. Another advantage is the ability to create a penis in the desired size with this technique. However, as in this video, it is necessary to thin the first penis created following the surgery in obese patients. However, penile reconstruction can be performed in a single session, without the need for thinning, especially in patients with a body mass index below 24. With the penile prosthesis to be placed in the penis, the patient can also achieve sexual function. Important note here; I do not make the urinary tract at the tip of the penis and place it at the base of the penis. Because even after the most successful urinary tract construction, there is a 50% risk of urinary constriction, urea stones and fistula.
