Eliza started writing material of her own again in the summer of 2020 after a couple of years of focusing her creative efforts on Swimming in Circles, the indie band she co-led with Jack Williams. The project name Hot Moms Club was born on one of Eliza’s morning walks, which she started doing daily in quarantine in order to stay sane. She and her best friend bought ankle and wrist weights, put them on while laughing hysterically, and started walking the coast in North County San Diego. Eliza said, “We are going to be the hottest moms on the block!” She stopped in her tracks and had a brain blast - her new band name: Hot Moms Club was coined. While Eliza isn’t a mom, she is an aspiring hot mom and thought the name conveyed the fun she has been having in this chapter of life. Eliza is working on her record with Mallory Hauser, a Los Angeles-based artist and producer. She had been hearing about Mal and her talent for about 10 years through the grapevine in San Diego. Sure enough, on Eliza’s search for a producer, specifically a female producer, she stumbled upon Mal’s debut EP and was blown away by the production. She reached out, scheduled a call, and that’s when they discovered that this was the Mal that Eliza had been hearing about for a decade! Meant to be - life is crazy. Mal has helped the songs come to life and give them the sparkle that Eliza envisioned for this project. Eliza desires the joy, gratitude, and fun that she has been experiencing to fill those that listen to her music and see her perform. |
