The first video shared by Ramesh Pandey showed a young tiger fighting to stay afloat in the swollen Gerua river in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich as it is tossed by strong currents. The Girijapuri barrage is in northern Uttar Pradesh, and the area in the video is near the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. The barrage gates were closed and this prevented it from being swept further down.
