| Video Discription | Inconvinience of 0-degree laparoscope in TAPP for bilateral direct and obturator hernia (ProGripTM). The movie presents the drawbacks of straight-view optics. When introducing optics below umbilicus, the laparoscope stays parallel to the anterior abdominal wall. An internal ring area is clearly visible, but it is difficult to properly visualize the upper peritoneal flap (picture is tangential). It is particularly important and bothering when placing a mesh and during peritoneum closure. Phenomenon is particularly troublesome in thin patients. |
