A Viennese café house in Art Nouveau style, historic sales vans and a carousel from the 1920s are the special features of the historic Christmas market of Roncalli on the Rathausmarkt. With its nostalgic flair, it is particularly atmospheric. On offer: numerous delicacies, gift items as well as handicrafts from the Erzgebirge, Lusatia and Tyrol. At some booths, visitors can see how the products are made. Three times a day (at 16, 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.), Santa Claus floats across the market with his sled and tells the story of his reindeer Rudolf.

If you are looking for small gifts and handicrafts, you will find what you are looking for at the Christmas markets in the city center.
To the left and right of Hamburg's shopping street, three Christmas markets invite you to stroll. Along Spitalerstraße, the booths of the "Hanseatische Weihnachtsmarkt" line up with gift items and Christmas specialties. In the nostalgic winter village on Gerhard-Hauptmann-Platz with a large Christmas fir and nostalgic carousel, artisans show their skills, and there is also a large gastronomic offer there. Around the Petrikirche lures another small market with children's carousel and showcases that show scenes from various fairy tales.

With numerous stalls and stands in the meetinghouse, in the crypt and on the church square, Hamburg's most famous church, Michel, celebrates the 100th anniversary of its Christmas market. Children are invited to make Christmas crafts, the program includes Advent singing, devotions and a concert of the trombone choir.
