| Video Discription | * (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Prairie View, Texas — On April 9, 2024, around 4:15 p.m., the Houston Police Department, Southeast Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team officers were actively searching for a suspect with multiple felony warrants in the area near at 45240 U.S. Highway 290 Business. Officers located a parked white sedan and positively identified the suspect sitting in the front passenger seat with two other persons inside. As officers approached the sedan and attempted to make contact with the wanted suspect, he jumped out of the vehicle and started shooting at officers. Officers returned fire and the suspect was struck. The driver of the vehicle, armed with a gun, also exited the vehicle and was struck by gunfire from the officers. Both adult male suspects, 19 and 20, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were transported via Life Flight helicopter to the hospital, one in critical and the other in stable condition. HPD Officers S. Lusk and S. Quian, who discharged their duty weapons, were not injured in the incident.
