| Video Discription | As we continue Holy Week 2024, The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington invites you to join us via livestream on Friday, March 29, as we commemorate Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion from The Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, DC, United States of America. Our stream will begin at 12:00 PM EDT with a Reflection on the Seven Last Words of Christ delivered by Rev. Jimmy Hsu, CSP. He will be joined by members of St. Matthew's Schola Cantorum choir. During the liturgy, the people will come forward to venerate a crucifix, recalling Christ’s death for our salvation. The tradition dates back to the late 4th century when, according to legend, Helen, the mother of Constantine, discovered the true cross in Jerusalem.
