These recipes are, in a sense, traditional, and are handed down by way of observation and practice. Through this video series I aim to document and even revive some tried and tested methods which seem to be fading away with time. My daughter now refers to it as ‘Flaming Feni’ for obvious reasons. You can use Cashew Feni or Coconut Feni for this purpose. For those who aren't familiar with Feni, it's an alcohol produced locally in Goa, that's distilled from fermented cashew juice or coconut toddy. • A few Tablespoons of this can relieve severe cold. • The Sugar is added to help the flame last. This helps burn more alcohol. • The warmth this drink aids in clearing the respiratory system • Drink this preferably just before food, or in the early part of your meal. Exercise caution when it comes to any and every medical ailment.
