| Video Discription | The George state RICO prosecution of Donald Trump and his many indicted co-conspirators has been sitting in appellate court limbo, with not resolution in sight. Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis is trying to do something about that. Willis just filed a motion with the Georgia Court of Appeals urging the court to dismiss the appeal as "improvidently granted." This may be a long shot, but there are important appellate principles militating in favor of Willis' request that the appeal be dismissed for a lack of supporting evidence, and the case returned to the trial court judge, Scott McAfee, so he can set a timely trial date. This video discusses the substance of this new court filing, and also takes on the need for some common-sense appellate court reforms that will put a stop to nefarious litigants like Donald Trump forever weaponizing the delay in the appellate system designed to run out the clock on justice.
