They have made some improvements to it and bumped the max FPS up to 175 fps. It took a while for them to gain traction primarily because they are looked down upon by the airsoft community. However, I don't see these as a replacement or threat to airsoft. Gel Blasters offer a new category of fun that fits in between Nerf and Airsoft. Gel Blasters provide a good form of backyard fun with very cheap ammo that biodegrades and doesn't require any cleanup. If you're serious about your game and looking for high accuracy, then airsoft is your game.
