Arfonzo is a subscriber who managed to stop smoking for over a month after 25 years of smoking, with the aid of this excellent Wenax M1 Starter Kit & Black Note tobacco liquid. He asked me to review this kit for many new vapers who would find this type of device more helpful than MTL RTA’s.
I am happy to do so, plus I would read out to you, parts of his email (with his permission)
I would also leave some parts of his email below.
Arfonzo email to me as follows, (in his own words)
I've finally quit smoking after more than 25 years; it's been over a month now (the longest I have ever gone). It's going well, the urge to smoke is minimal, and I find vaping after meals and other key times, to be sufficient to quell the itch.
I've cut nicotine down from 18mg to 3mg over the first month but wasted money buying a lot of liquids to try that I ended up disliking (synthetic tobacco flavours, fruits, desserts, the usual suspects). I am now using Black Note happily.
The reason I'm reaching out to you, apart from wanting to thank you, is that I would like for you to focus some reviews/discussions around pod-type systems like the Geek Vape Wenax M1--which is the device recommended to me by hardcore vapers to get started with rather than rebuildables. The M1 is a device which I find very useful with a very low price point (around the cost of 2 disposables).
One of the reasons my past attempts to quit failed (I've tried to quit smoking by vaping 3 times now in the past decade), was due to poor choice of device and liquid. I think the very first device a quitter needs should be fuss-free, simple to use, and not have to worry about "the details": cotton wicks, coils, adjustable flow, dynamic power, etc.. It should just work, be a good build, have great taste, and easy to refill--I think the M1 ticks all these boxes and I would be super interested to see what you think of this, as well as any other suitable devices to help quitters make the switch without pain!
The M1 has been a great device in that it's cheap, easy to use (refillable pods, so environmentally better than disposables), without the need to fuss with wicks, coils, RTAs, RDAs, comes with 0.8 or 1.2ohm pods ideal for NET, etc. In short, it lets me get straight into the game, without needing to worry about rebuilding.
I know a lot of vapers love this RTA/RDA stuff, but a lot of us don't, and in fact we prefer not to have to mess with building stuff.
About the M1 and pod reviews--amazing! Thanks so much for listening to my humble feedback, I am sure many new quitters and those considering taking that step, would be very pleased.
I use the M1 as my only device, my feedback if you are interested is:
• I like how it can work while charging.
• Love the auto-draw--I think a lot of smokers don't get this "button to smoke" thing. My ciggies never had a button...
• I love how I don't need to worry about re-wicking, etc, as I have spoken about.
• 0.8 and 1.2ohm pods give you at least some choice.
• I like that it remains a "humble looking" device, small, well built, not flashy.
• Most importantly in the UK market, it's easy to get and the price is very cheap.
