| Video Discription | On this video, I'm presenting one of the most famous trek of Uttarakhand which is Gangotri to Gaumukh trek. It's around 20km from Gangotri and at a height of 13,200ft. You have to apply online for Gaumukh trek using the below link: https://www.swstourismuki.com/ You don't have to pay anything online. As you reach forest office entry gate at Gangotri, you have to pay a charge of Rs. 150 per head. You should fix your guide before starting your journey, I paid 2000 to our guide. It will take 3000 round trip for pony service. Early morning, we started our journey from Gangotri and it has taken around 8 hours to reach at Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Bhojbasa, 4km short of Gaumukh. There is another camp called Chirbassa and here you can also take rest. Here, you can get overpriced food which is expected, also water and accommodation. You need to do online booking using GMVN website: https://gmvnonline.com/trh-filter.php GMVN charges Rs. 500 per head. Other than GMVN there is another ashram to stay which charges Rs. 400 per head. You will not get any mobile network after 2 to 3km journey and there is no electricity over there, GMVN guest house has a power generator which they run everyday evening for one and half hour. Due to natural disaster, we couldn't complete our trek to Gaumukh, the terminus of gangotri glacier and source of Ganga river. As the path to Gaumukh from Bhojbasa is rocky and landslide ****e area, it's quite obvious that it's not possible to complete the trek always. Anyways Catch the glimpse of Bhagirathi group of three peaks during your journey and Witness the trek to Bhojbasa which is surrounded with trees. Enjoy the calm, pleasant atmosphere of the trek and beauty of purity of Ganga river.
