| Video Discription | Welcome to Annecy. This place is nicknamed the “Pearl of the French Alps!” and it is also called “The Venice of the Alps”. Visitors love its romantic old town and the spectacular lake Annecy. I’m going to show you this amazing place in a day! If you want to discover more, keep watching! We arrived early in the morning and we were surprised by how quiet it was. The wooden and coloured houses were very beautiful and the nature that surrounded us was stunning. Then we entered a market where they sold all kinds of food. You can visit this little place on foot. There are no cars in the old town and that makes you go back in time. The canals that cross the streets have very pure water. We were getting closer to the lake and they gave us many options to visit it. One of them was to take a bicycle but we decided to rent a small boat. You will not think twice about dipping your skin into the water, because it is one of the purest waters in Europe. Its lake and strategic location to the Alps, turn Annecy into a favorite spot for both winter and summer sports. We were very hungry so we went to eat at an Italian restaurant. Another stunning place is the love bridge. There is a myth that says that if two lovers kiss on the bridge, they will stay together forever. We continued walking, enjoying nature and the colorful streets. The houses with wooden details are, without a doubt, the highlight of this place. |
