| Video Discription | A few years ago, I tried to locate a digital copy of the disco version of "Who Loves You". The album version was 4:22 and single version was 4:04, nowhere near the 5:28 listing on the vinyl 7 single. I even bought the cleanest single I could find and could not clean it up enough to post it. Then, I purchased the remastered single version and copied the arrangement digitally, except that I made a mistake and accidentally added an 18 second repeat of the instrumental break and posted it to YouTube. Once I realized the error, I went back and corrected it. I closed my channel down shortly after that to attend to other projects. Now, there are several YouTube bootlegs of the original 5:47 remix I did posted here, but are of poor quality due to downloads effected through YouTube. But as everyone knows, (or should know), those files are always corrupted due to the compression YouTube uses. Listen to the bootlegs and then listen to this original digital reconstruction of the disco version I did from 1975. So you can blast this one as loud as you want, it will stay clean and clear. In any case, Frankie Valli reformed the Four Seasons after having solo success with "My Eyes Adored You" and "Swearin' To God". He even recorded a version of "Native New Yorker"! The first release from the LP was "Who Loves You" and it breathed new life into the group who ended up with a #3 Hot 100 hit. The next single was the #1 hit, "December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night). "Silver Star" was then released but petered out at #38. I dedicate this upload to my dear friend, niecy...a longtime supporter and fellow discophile. Who Loves You, baby? papacat does.... |
