| Video Discription | In this tutorial I will show you some useful tips and tricks regarding the FMC which you can use when flying the PMDG NGX. These exercises are completed on the initial part of the Type Rating using a dedicated FMS Trainer to introduce crew to some of the functions of the FMC, I’ve replicated these exercises on a simulated flight from Luton (EGGW) to Palma de Majorca (LEPA) using a Real World Operation Flight Plan. This Tutorial barely scratches the surface and is merely an introduction to some of the more common features used on a typical flight from A to B, there’s plenty more you can do! I will make more tutorials in the future covering other features. Exercise 1 - FMC Altitude Restriction - 00:57 Exercise 2 – ATC Shortcuts & Max Rate/Max Angle – 03:09 Exercise 3 – Change in Cruise Level – 06:04 Exercise 4 – FMC Navigational Database – 08:08 Exercise 4 – Creating and Editing Waypoints -09:35 Exercise 5 – Intercept a VOR Radial using the FMC - 11:30 Exercise 6 – Fix Page – 13:41 Exercise 7 – Offset Route – 15:42 Exercise 8 – Turbulence N1 & Engine Out - 17:10 All tutorials used are based on Boeing Recommendations and Real-World Procedures, some operators might do something differently so you can use a mixture of what you know and the procedure I show you!
