Directed by Shawn Levy, "Free Guy" (2021) follows Guy, a bank teller who discovers he's actually a non-playable character (NPC) in a chaotic open-world video game. The film has a cool premise that kind of reminded us of "The Matrix" movie. Ryan Reynolds brings his comedic genius into it and gives it his all. The film feels like a love letter to not only gaming and more specifically indie developers but also a love letter to huge IP's like Marvel's Avengers, Star Wars etc. We got some solid performances here with the cast including Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, and Taika Waititi.
