I tried the green car for the first time, on the shinkansen between Tokyo and Nagoya. In the video I compare it to the standard car, including the seating, what's included, how comfortable it is and what you need to know. An important point is that when you take the green car, seat reservations are required. The video also explains the new rules about luggage on the shinkansen, how to tell if your suitcase is oversized, where to put your bags and shows the overhead luggage rack.
