| Video Discription | Join us as we take a look at our most recent impulsive auction buy, a 1977 Mini 1275 GT. What started as a walkaround of our new purchase quickly developed into a 'will it start?' video, with all the usual banter and mishaps you will have come to expect from us! As a young lad, Elton worked in a garage where one of the mechanics had a tuned black Mini 1275GT. To him, that car was the coolest thing he'd ever seen and the memory stuck, so when a similar car appeared for sale locally 40-years later, he had to bid on it. This particular Mini has all the period home-made modifications you'd expect of a car of this era, including a Panasonic stereo complete with Pye speakers and, get this, a 'Gran Pree' steering wheel. Honestly. Oh, and the carpentry is worth a look. Genuinely, we love it. Don't miss the little surprise Claire finds under the seat cover. And no, it's not a spider this week... Having been taken off the road in 1989, this 1275GT was bound to have a few issues. The bodywork is obvious for all to see, but what about the engine? Could we get it started before the dreaded school run?
