We love both mics and they have a different purpose for each. I would recommend the VideoMicro to any stationary setup for vlogging or on the iphone/android phones as its a quick connect. The VideoMic Pro Plus is great for on camera vlogger style and does a great job outdoors with focus on your voice vs surrounding. It is a great mic for shooting videos outside with several options for gain and high pass filtering, but is about 3-4 times the price. So if you are looking to do youtube vids, you have some choices. If this is a DSLR setup, go with the Video Mic Pro Plus. These are used for on camera vlogging and they are great for the price. Both Mics come with a 10 year limited warranty but have a huge price difference. The Video Micro does not require battery power and the VideoMic Pro Plus does have a rechargeable battery built in.
