FATV Exclusive Match Highlights - Tonight's match at Wembley between England and Montenegro finished honours even as Montenegro shut up shop. Montenegro played a deep game, closing down England at every opportunity. It was a surprisingly tough game, and England will face a difficult return leg to Montenegro in the last game of their campaign. England will feel unlucky not to have had a couple of penalties, with one handball in the box particularly blatant, but the fact remains that England were unable to find their shooting boots on the night, so it is still all to play for in group G.
Before the game, many pundits were surprised at the on pitch success of the relatively newly formed country Montenegro, who used to play as part of Serbia & Montenegro. Pundits perhaps considered Switzerland to be the main threat to England, and Wales to be a tough test due to home rivalry, but after 3 games Montenegro had a 100% record, including beating the 2 aforementioned teams.
Capello was missing a number of key players, such as Frank Lampard and Jermain Defoe, who are on the treatment table, and a long list including Lennon, Bent and Terry. Despite this England still fielded a strong side against the Montenegrins.
