In this video I'll take you on a Tour of the updated 2GR-FKS engine, We'll cover some common problems then I'll give you my opinion on what's better and what's worse. First we'll cover the mechanical changes including the plastic valve covers, the changes in the cylinder head and Variable valve timing. Then we'll cover the lubrication system and the cooling system which included more plastic parts than before. We'll take a look at the D4S Direct injection system and how it takes care of the carbon build up issues. Lastly I'll share with you some of the common problems that i've seen working on this engine from oil leaks, coolant leaks and the trending thermostat issues.
