Tehran and Ankara say the bilateral agreement will boost trade between their countries by up to 30 billion euros. After signing the deal, Erdogan said: "A preferential commercial agreement was of utmost importance." There was no public mention, however, of Syria; an issue that has strained ties between the countries.
