| Video Discription | The ALL NEW Catrike eCAT system pedal assist system! We received our first ever eCAT and we have been trying it out here at the shop. Catrike opted for the Bosch Active Line Plus motor that has four different pedal assist modes: Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo. The motor is really well integrated into the Catrike boom and the system is easy to set up and operate. Cost of the motor is $2600 when you purchase a new Catrike model. If you want to install an eCAT kit onto a Catrike that you already own, the cost is $2750. This system uses a torque sensor so it feels natural as you pedal and it's so quiet you won't even notice it's there. For riders looking to add a little extra power to their ride, the eCAT system delivers smooth and consistent pedal assist that will aid on quick commutes or long tours. The new eCAT is set up with an 11-speed drivetrain to compensate for some gearing loss. If you install the eCAT system on a trike you already own, you might lose some ability to climb hills.
