I drove from Portland to the trailhead on a beautiful, cool, and sunny summer morning. This trek was everything that I wanted in a hike - lush green landscapes, breathtaking mountains and cliffs, and of course...a beautiful waterfall! The water at Punch Bowl Falls was FREEZING cold! It must have been 45F degrees or less. I wanted to walk closer to the falls, but my feet probably would have fallen off!
