| Video Discription | Tonight, I want to talk about what I got at J&L Game in Manhattan, New York, NY and that is a Game Boy Advance (original, NOT SP) indigo console (OEM shell, buttons, and silicone pads) modified with a backlight screen, which is a drop in IPS LCD made by Cloud Game Store, and even though the lens on it looks like original and is made of plastic, it is made of glass instead of the original plastic material to provide clarity and less scratches. While the Cloud Game Store drop in IPS LCD for the Game Boy Advance contains a touch sensor for brightness adjustment and 6 levels of brightness, there are pros and cons I want to talk about with the LCD. The pros is that the display size of this LCD is the same exact size as the original AGB-001 LCD and the AGS-101 LCD, from what I heard the battery life for this LCD is better than FunnyPlaying’s IPS LCD, and you don’t have to cut the shell or solder any wires! The cons are that the maximum brightness isn’t as bright as FunnyPlaying’s IPS LCD which is super bright, and on some occasions, the brightness touch sensor triggers automatically even if you don’t touch the sensor. Not only I bought this console at J&L game, I also bought Classic NES Series: Castlevania for the Game Boy Advance. I find J&L game to be a great retro game store especially if your interests are both New York City and retro gaming!
