| Video Discription | Glomus tumor is an uncommon, usually benign tumor that is commonly found under the nail bed. It can present with severe shooting pain and decreases with immersing the finger in cold water. A MRI is usually able to delineate the tumor. Surgery is the only option for getting relief from this tumor. In this video, Dr. Souvik Adhikari demonstrates how to properly resect a subungual glomus tumor using the transungual method. Biopsy of the lesion confirmed it to be a benign glomus tumor and the patient was immediately relived of his symptoms. His healing also went on very well.
