| Video Discription | Live Surgery: Rhinoplasty surgery(Nose Job), Nose Reduction Surgery performed by Dr Rajat Gupta, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon at RG Aesthetics, Delhi Steps of a Rhinoplasty Surgery 1. Before starting the surgery the doctor gives local anesthesia under the skin of the nose to the patient to make sure that the surgery is bloodless. 2. Incision markings are done in order to elevate the skin flap on the nose. Very small columella incision is made and the rest all are made inside the nostrils so that the scars are never visible. 3.Very fine cuts are made by a very fine scalpel so that the scars which patients get are minimal. a bloodless dissection is done through an infra cartilaginous incision. This dissection is done just above the cartilage so that all the soft tissue is lifted up in one plane. 4. The soft tissue over the tip is removed to make the tip look thinner and sharper (Diamond shaped) and once the desired shape is obtained the incisions are closed. 5. Doctor takes markings for incision lateral osteotomies it's done in order to decrease the width of the nasal bones. 6. All the essential parameters are monitor through the surgery to make sure that the patient is all right. 7. Lateral Alar base dissection is done in which a small amount of alar is excised. This helps is the reduction of nose basal width and later these incisions are closed with nylon sutures. 8. In the end the nose is covered by gauze packing and splints to support the nose as it begins to heal. Nasal pack is removed in 24 hours and the splints stay for 7 days. The patient is discharged on the same day of surgery and can resume all the activities. There is no pain at all or no physical rest required. At the end of the surgery, you can see the defined shape of the nose.
