| Video Discription | Today Dr Rajat Gupta will demonstrate live breast augmentation surgery. The patient has A cup breast size and desires to enhance the breast size. Breast augmentation, sometimes referred to as a "boob job" by patients, involves using breast implants or fat transfer to enhance your breasts. Breast augmentation is a procedure, which many women desire to enhance the size of their breasts. The breast augmentation procedure can be done in two ways: 1. Breast implant surgery 2. Fat grafting to the breast. Breast Augmentation / Breast Implant Step by step 1. In order to avoid any chance of infections, the patient is adequately cleaned and draped. 2. An infra membrane incision so that the scar is never visible 3. The nipple area is covered by a nipple shield to minimize the chances of infection, this also minimizes the chances of capsular contracture after the surgery. 4. The cavity is washed with a mix of triple antibiotic solution and betadine. 5. Later the Scarpal fascia is closed to reduce the chances of bottoming out. 6. The implant is then washed in triple antibiotic solution and betadine and later its put into the implant funnel. 7. The implant is pushed inside the pocket using an implant funnel 8. The incision is closed in multiple layers before the final skin closure, the same procedure is followed on the opposite side. 9. Before the final closure the doctor positions patient in a sitting position and assesses for symmetry. If the breast is asymmetrical then fat infiltration is done so that patient gets desired shape. 10. The waterproof dressing is done after the surgery. 11. In the end, the patient is given implant international warranty cards and are checked after 4 hours to see if everything is fine and discharged. She can resume her daily activities the next day.
