| Video Discription | On behalf of the Smithsonian American Women's History Initiative and Bloomberg’s New Voices program, you are invited to The Women in the Room, a virtual celebration of women leaders in science, technology, and innovation. The evening will include a retrospective discussion with Smithsonian experts to better understand the trailblazers who paved the way, as well as a panel discussion with Kathrin Jansen, Senior Vice President, Head of Vaccine Research and Development at Pfizer, Fei-Fei Li, Sequoia Professor in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University and Denning Co-Director of Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute, Priscilla Chan, Co-founder and co-CEO at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and Anne Schuchat, Principal Deputy Director of the CDC. Finally, we will explore specific initiatives that are empowering women in science and technology, including the Bloomberg New Voices program, a leading global media initiative to raise visibility and amplify opinions of women and ethnically diverse executives in finance, media, technology and other industries where they are under-represented.
