The exchange came after hours of questioning by Blanche, aiming to paint Cohen as a vindictive ex-ally wanting to see Trump imprisoned. Cohen testified he paid Daniels and Trump reimbursed him, falsely recording the reimbursements as legal expenses. Trump is charged with falsifying business records to cover up the payments. Trump has pleaded not guilty, denied the affair, and labelled the prosecution a politically motivated attack on his campaign. "This trial is a scam, and it's a sham, and it shouldn't happen.
