Some reveal cherished memories and regrets, while authorities and professionals explain their methods for eradicating violence in the city. The state of Georgia has high rates of domestic abuse and dating violence. In 2018, there were 45,715 crisis calls to Georgia's certified domestic violence agencies. However, in 2022, there were 129,528 crisis calls to Georgia's certified domestic violence and sexual assault agencies, a 13% increase from 2021 crisis calls. Columbus, albeit a small town, has been a powder keg in recent years of violent crimes. Domestic affairs being the most active.
