| Video Discription | #dogneuter #caninecastration #largedog This is the technique I use to perform closed canine castrations in large dogs. The most common post op issue is a scrotal hematoma. The trick I can share is to make sure the cord is clean and most of the fat has been removed before ligatures are placed. Also, try to close while taking medium size bites. The flatter your incision stays without causing much tension, the less you patient will likely lick or bother the incision post op. Good Luck !
