What are the qualities in games that lead to sustained user engagement? DigiPen's Interdisciplinary Game Design degrees give graduates the theoretical and practical framework to answer these questions while preparing them to take on a range of roles within a professional studio, from gameplay programming to level design and more. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Game Design program focuses on developing strong programmers with the knowledge and skills to design unique user experiences across a variety of platforms. The Bachelor of Arts in Game Design program concentrates on the aesthetic and structural aspects of game design, including storytelling and character creation. Both degree programs emphasize the interdisciplinary nature of game development by giving students a solid foundation in math, programming, the arts, humanities, and social sciences, as well as extensive knowledge in game design theory.
