| Video Discription | Senators will vote again on a bipartisan immigration deal that was rejected by the House earlier this year with lawmakers in both parties trying to navigate the border and its security as a key issue in the upcoming November election. Both parties have tried to blame the other for failing to get the border under control and making the immigration system work in the months since the bipartisan deal fell apart in the House as pressure mounts on Congress and the White House to act. In a letter to senators Sunday night, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said he would put the package back up for a vote, forcing every member of the chamber to go on the record. It comes as President Joe Biden is expected to announce new executive orders on immigration and the border and political pressure mounts on his campaign to address the issues.
