| Video Discription | Cyclone Tauktae is the first cyclone of 2021 in the Arabian Sea, which has now intensified into a “Very Severe Cyclonic Storm” (VCS) according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD's storm tracker has issued a warning the very severe cyclonic storm is set to cross the western coast of Gujarat around early morning of May 18 (Tuesday). Cyclone Tauktae has battered the coasts of Karnataka and Goa leaving atleast seven people dead. As per the storm tracking satellite observation (INSAT-3DR) at 4:30 am, the Vortex ‘Tauktae’ lay centered at 18.3N/71.5E, with a ragged eye, and at a distance of around 260 kms south-southeast of Diu, with it convective bands tightly wrapped, the India Meteorological Department said.
