| Video Discription | Cyclone Biparjoy made landfall late last night in western Gujarat, India, with winds near hurricane strength and heavy rainfall spreading across the area. The southern side of the storm remains the strongest, and by far the wettest, where rainfall totals could reach 500mm well inland as well as near the landfall zone. The storm will weaken fairly slowly, and could persist until after it makes its closest pass south of New Delhi in a couple of days. Elsewhere, the Atlantic could see a new tropical cyclone next week, with the initial disturbance already active off the coast of Africa. The system could develop into a strong tropical storm over the Main Development Region as it moves west-northwestwards. The storm will then weaken, however, the GFS is currently suggesting that renewed strengthening could happen later on. This scenario is still very long range and shouldn't be taken seriously at this time. In the Eastern Pacific, two areas of interest have low chances of developing as they move out to sea.
