BOMBAY HALWA
Ingredients
1 cup corn flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup ghee
1/2 cup Cashew nuts very finely chopped
Sliced almonds
Cardomon powder and rose essence
Red coloring
Lemon juice
Water 4 cups
Cooking Time : 70 minutes
Method
In a thick pan mix sugar and 2cups water and bring it to boil and make the sugar syrup add a tea spoon of lemon juice to avoid crystallized.
Dissolve corn flour in 200 ML water and add mix well.Reduce heat into slow and add corn flour mixture to the sugar syrup mixture and stir continuously and turn the heat medium to high and keep stirring and stirring with a wooden spoon and cook till mixture thickens and sticking the spoon. At this time add ghee gradually mix well and now add the cashew nuts finely chopped and cardamom powder and keep adding ghee till all used up.
