| Video Discription | September 2020- This short 30 second video is meant for those who are involved with the security and safety ministry of their church to ask - How would I handle this situation? How would the team at church handle the situation? My team and I trained with one of the larger churches in the West Michigan area on Sept 10, 2020, going through Decision Making Drills with their armed personnel. The training program is more often than not a huge eye opener for people who have never been involved with a potentially deadly force situation. The students were only told that a man in the lobby wanted to talk to the pastor, but as they approached him, the man suddenly put a gun to his head. Just that fast, in a blink of any eye, a situation escalated to a man holding a gun to his own head while demanding to see the pastor. Would you bring your pastor to him? Gentle Response LLC is not just another lecture presentation. The training program is specifically designed to assist a person develop stress inoculation, muscle memory, self confidence and confidence in other colleagues. None of which anyone can get from just sitting through a lecture or watching a how-to video. Students also receive real time feedback from instructor/role players to validate and affirm what was done correctly during a scenario, and feedback as to what can be tweaked and done differently.
