| Video Discription | Temple style pulihora / Tamarind rice recipe is very relishing with its tangy flavour (chintapandu). You can enjoy various tastes like salty, spicy, hot, and sour in one spoon at a time with this prasadam pulihora rice. You can also cook this food for picnics or tours as well, learn how to prepare this Traditional Temple style Andhra Pulihora at home. Ingredients For Temple Style Pulihora Recipe: Steamed Rice: 2 cups oil: 3 tbsp peanuts: 1/2 cup Mustard 1 Tsp Red Dry chilly: 2 Bengal gram: 1 Tsp Urad dal: 1 Tsp Jeera: 1 Tsp Green Chillies: 3 Tamarind Juice: 1/2 cup (extracted from 1 small lemon sized tamarind) salt: as per taste Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp Mustard and Methi seeds powder: 1/2 tsp curry leaves: few Hing 1/2 tsp Making Procedure Of Temple Style Pulihora Recipe: 1. In a Kadai heat oil and add peanuts and fry till they get brown colour. Then add dry red chillies, mustard seeds, Bengal gram, urad dal, and cumin seeds and mix well 2. Now add slit green chillies and sauté well. Add extracted tamarind juice and salt as required, turmeric powder, methi & mustard powder, asafoetida(Hing) and curry leaves and mix well. saute for 2 minutes in high flame. 3.Cook in low to medium flame for 2 minutes. Now you can add steamed rice and mix well until rice grains coated well with the texture. 4. Switch off the flame and take the rice into a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves or fried cashew nuts. 5. Tasty tamarind rice or temple style Pulihora is ready. Andhra Pulihora Making Tips: 1.Pulp: Soak the tamarind in a hot water for an hour and squeeze it to get juice by extracting the strain 2. Using jaggery is completely optional. 3.
